Police Release CCTV Footage In The Growl Assault Investigation

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist in the inquiry of a Surry Hills assault that left a Perth bassist fighting for his career.

Marc Earley, most notably bassist for The Growl, required emergency surgery after the incident in a fast food restaurant on Sydney's Oxford Street. Police had released still images of the man, whom they'd like to speak to in their ongoing investigation, and have now released a two-minute CCTV video.

It is alleged that at about 3.30am on Monday 3 February three people – including Earley – were approached by a man after they sat down in the restaurant, who began abusing them. He fled the scene after the assault and emergency services were called.
