More Pixies More Pixies

In what has now become fairly usual fashion for legendary alternative rockers Pixies, they have dropped a new EP overnight, taking their fans pretty much completely by surprise. Like EP1 and EP2 before it, EP3 has arrived without much fanfare, being made available from the band's websote immediately after its release was confirmed.

The band have also confirmed the release of a new album Indie Cindy, which will feature all the tracks from the three limited edition EPs the band have released over the past couple of months. The record is also available for purchase now – though it won't be shipped until late April – as a double gatefold 12” album or a digital package. Those who purchase the record on iTunes will also receive the 13-track Live In The USA live record, recorded on the road recently with touring bassist Paz Lenchantin.

Indie Cindy is the first Pixies album to be released since 1991's Trompe Le Monde.

The EPs and, thus, the album, were produced by the masterful Gil Norton (who did previous Pixies releases Doolittle, Bossanova, and Trompe le Monde) at his Rockfield Studio in Wales in October of last year.
