Welsh guitarist Phil Campbell, touring with his band The Bastard Sons, have postponed their upcoming Australian tour.
Campbell was the guitarist in the iconic metal group Motörhead from 1984 until the band’s disbandment in 2015, which followed the passing of vocalist Lemmy Kilmister.
Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons started releasing music in 2016 with their self-titled EP. In 2018, their debut album, The Age Of Absurdity, dropped, and in 2023, their fourth and most recent album, Kings Of The Asylum, was released.
The band, comprising Campbell with his three sons, Todd, Tyla, and Dane, were set to tour Australia for the first time this month, promising a set of Motörhead classics as well as songs from their own discography.
However, due to the departure of vocalist Joel Peters, the tour has been postponed until March 2026. You can see the new dates below.
“Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons today announce the departure of Joel Peters,” the group revealed in a statement. “The band would like to extend their thanks to Joel for his contribution and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

The statement continued, “As a result of this change, the band’s forthcoming Australian tour has been rescheduled for March 2026. Despite extensive efforts to find a workable solution, it was not possible to prepare a new band member and to proceed with the September dates at such short notice.
“The band sincerely apologises to fans for any inconvenience and looks forward to coming to Australia in March, fully prepared to deliver an unforgettable Rock ’n’ Roll experience. All tickets for each city remain valid for the new dates.”
The statement concluded, “All remaining UK and European shows scheduled for the rest of the year will go ahead as planned. Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons are excited to continue performing for the fans and look forward to seeing everyone on the road.”
