The acclaimed troubadours hit the road for a joint run of shows this September and October
Lauded singer-songwriters Peter Bibby and Melody Pool have announced a joint sojourn around the country this September and October as the pair continue to tout their excellent recent albums.
Bibby has been touring on the back of his acclaimed debut LP, Butcher/Hairstylist/Beautician, for much of the past two years(!), having taken his live show to festival and headline spots all over the world (including at local and international events from Laneway to SXSW), while Pool is freshly buoyed by this year's release of her celebrated sophomore full-length, Deep Dark Savage Heart.
The pair of troubadours will kick off their extensive team-up at Sydney's Newtown Social Club on Friday 23 September, hitting Wollongong's Heritage Hotel the following day. From there, they briefly part ways — Bibby heads to Cronulla's Sounds Of The Suburbs festival on 25 September, while Pool hits the Dashville Skyline Festival, in the Hunter Valley, over 30 September-1 October — before reconvening at Melbourne's Northcote Social Club on Thursday 6 October.
Pool has one further solo appearance during the run (at No. 5 Church Street, Bellingen, on Friday 21 October), but will appear alongside Bibby for all other shows on the tour either side, including performances in Rye, Bacchus Marsh, Oakleigh, Geelong, Canberra, Newcastle, Mullumbimby, Brisbane, Adelaide, Margaret River, Fremantle, Perth and Dunsborough, where they close out the run at Clancy's Fish Pub on Sunday 30 October.
