The latest addition to the festival give us her top five collaborations

More Kucka More Kucka

To celebrate scoring a spot alongside Hermitude, Midnight Juggernauts and more at WA festival CoLab through triple j’s Unearthed competition, synth alt-pop act Kucka gave us a rundown of her five favourite collaborations off all time.

Joining an impressive line-up at the festival’s debut on Saturday 29 November at Oak Lawn, UWA Nedlands, WAM Award nominated Kucka’s the perfect fit for the bill. So, from Mariah Carey to Death Grips — wouldn’t that be a sweet partnering - here’s a little incite into what influences Kucka:

Mariah Carey and Jay-Z - Heartbreaker

“The chemistry was undeniable, love that hook.”

Gil Scott Heron and Jamie XX - NY Is Killing Me

“Turning Gil Scott heron into a haunting dance floor filler - genius!”

James Blake and RZA - Take A Fall For Me

“Beautiful and melodic, it's so nice to hear RZA working with an emotive track. His lyrics are awesome here.”

Deathgrips and Bjork - Up My Sleeves

“Two of the most forward-thinking, risk-taking artists working together, they couldn't go wrong.”

Thom Yorke and PJ Harvey - This Mess We're In

“This track was the soundtrack to my angsty teenage years. Thom Yorke's falcetto showing the ladies how it’s done!”
