Perth's Distant Murmurs Is Back For A Third Year Of Festivities

Perth’s leading community radio station RTRFM is once again taking over The Rosemount Hotel to deliver a day chockers full of live music to showcase the present and future music of Perth’s scene.

More than 20 acts will perform across three stages as part of the third annual Distant Murmurs festival. The all-local line-up is features R'n'B outfit Alwyn Lewis, cosmic beatmaker The Boost Hero Man, downbeat shoegaze artist Candy Guts (formerly Leashkid), master MC Empty who’ll perform with a string quartet, celestial experimentalist Ghost Drums, and garage electronica oddity Sounduh.

Those jonesing for a rowdy time will also be able to satisfy their cravings with sets from Lionizer, Hip Priest, Last Quokka, and Sail On! Sail On! sure to get you working up a sweat and flailing a few limbs.

Distant Murmurs is the best way to spend a summer afternoon, immersed in tunes from the present and the future of Perth’s music landscape. It all kicks off in the Rosemount Hotel Beer Garden at 4pm on 14 January.
