More Parkway Drive More Parkway Drive

Parkway Drive are back with a bang. The Byron Bay metal titans just dropped Sacred, their first new single since releasing their critically acclaimed, ARIA #1 2022 album, Darker Still.

A track that blends Parkway’s styles, old and new—surprising growls and near-squeals from vocalist Winston McCall, balanced with his best rap-metal performance to date, group chanting vocals in the chorus and anthemic guitar riffs—it’s a new song that’s primed to excite multiple generations of Parkway Drive fans.

The new track also arrives with a powerful music video directed by Third Eye Visuals. McCall said of the new single, “The mission statement for Sacred is pretty damn simple. An anthemic wrecking ball of positive energy. Our lives and the way we exist in the world has been pushed further and further through the lenses and frames of negativity and hopelessness.”

He continued, “Obsession with everything we lack, everything we hate, everyone we blame, everything that keeps us down. We sell the unique parts of us most precious just to buy back manufactured pieces of self in order that we may feel whole again. Sacred is our identity. Sacred is our time. Never lose sight and never lose hope.”

Sacred arrives during a massive year for Parkway Drive. This June, the band will perform a sold-out symphonic metal show at the Sydney Opera House to cap off their 20-year anniversary celebrations in Australia.

Later this year, the band will co-headline the massive Summer of Loud tour across the US with American bands Killswitch Engage, I Prevail, and Beartooth. They’ll also embark on an arena run across Europe and the UK in 2025, joined by fellow Aussies The Amity Affliction and Thy Art Is Murder.

Last week, it was announced that Parkway Drive would headline the inaugural Hellbound Cruise, the first-ever metal cruise to touch down on Australian shores. The event will take place in October 2026 and feature an all-Australian line-up starring Polaris, Northlane, Make Them Suffer, and stacks more.
