Naarm/Melbourne artist PANIA has ended this week on a high, having joined English legends Coldplay onstage during their recent Melbourne shows.

With Coldplay launching their Australian tour on Wednesday night at Marvel Stadium, the group ran through a career-spanning setlist filled with old classics and fan favourite.

Towards the end of their set, the group shared some new material by way of 2024’s WE PRAY, which saw them bring out some additional vocalist for the song, with one of those vocalists being none other than PANIA.

PANIA shared the moment on socials noting that she'd "prayed" for moments like this", and overlaying the clip with the text "POV: you get a last minute call to perform with Coldplay to 60,000 people".

"It was an incredible and surreal experience to perform with Coldplay in my hometown in front of so many people!” PANIA said of the experience on Thursday. “Chris and the band were so nice and made me feel really welcome.

“I tried not to think too much about it because I was nervous but looking back on the footage I saw of him and I performing in front of his piano was so crazy to me!! I’m doing it again tonight so am going to try and take in the moment."

Indeed, on Thursday night, Coldplay again took to Marvel Stadium where PANIA was brought out to share in the joy of WE PRAY once more.

Coldplay will perform their final Melbourne dates on Saturday and Sunday night, before playing two shows in Sydney next week. Currently, there's no word on which vocalists will join them on WE PRAY for these last shows.

PANIA last released new music by way of 2023’s WE STILL YOUNG EP, though she’s currently gearing up to enter a new era by way of fresh music in 2025.
