Barnsey Pulls Out Of Deni Ute Muster Due To Continued Health Issues

Kasey Chambers steps up

More Jimmy Barnes Jimmy Barnes Profile

"Doctors have ordered Jimmy Barnes to cancel his appearance at next weekend's Deni Ute Muster in regional NSW.

While Kasey Chambers has been confirmed as a new headliner for the iconic grassroots festival, it is the latest in a series of gig cancellations for Barnes.

Barnes issued a statement apologising to "Musterers", saying, "I've been hoping and doing everything I can to get myself well enough to join you next weekend.

"But it's taking longer to bounce back than we thought and I've had to pull out under doctor's orders." He also thanked Chambers for "stepping in at such short notice".

When news first broke of Barnes' hospitalisation, the week his 30:30 Hindsight album went number one in Australia, it was announced that he would need to postpone the first two shows of an upcoming national tour.

Last week, news broke that due to further complications from recent back surgery, Barnes revealed he would not be able to play the One Tropical Day bash in Darwin next month.
