The chances of Onefour's Australian tour going ahead are not looking good after the first two shows of the run have been called off in a matter of days.

While the opening show in Melbourne scheduled for Sunday night was called off on Saturday, the second gig in Adelaide set for tomorrow night has now also been cancelled according to ABC.

In a statement issued this week, the Sydney drill group's management have accused police of "adopting a singularly youth-focused, 'fear-based' censorship strategy" and said that the show cancellations "set a dangerous precedent [with] police ultimately determining which artists can and can't play at music venues in Australia".

It comes just months after Onefour claimed that NSW Police forced the cancellation of a show in Sydney this past August and alleged that police contacted the venue three times about calling the show off, while a concert in Sydney in July was also cancelled due to "unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances".

In court documents seen by ABC's Background Briefing, police allege Onefour is "connected to an ongoing turf war between rival groups representing Sydney's inner west and greater west, and that the group's lyrics incite violence".

Victoria Police responded to The Music in a statement on Monday regarding the cancelled Melbourne concert, in which they said "any decision to postpone, cancel or proceed with individual events are made by the event organiser and/or venue operator".
