It’s taken a while, but our esteemed hip hop scene is finally beginning to get the recognition it deserves on an international level.

Revered British music outlet NME has recognised the up-and-coming talent in Australia in a recent article that details Tkay Maidza, Joelistics, Hermitude, and more, and shines a spotlight on Indigenous talent Briggs and Jimblah.

Local legend Remi, who tonight claimed the $30,000 Coopers AMP award, also received a mentioned, following international tours in 2014.
