Brisbane has landed itself yet another brand new music festival with today's announcement of Nine Lives Festival.

To coincide with its ninth birthday, beloved Brisbane record store Jet Black Cat Music has teamed up with Handsome Tours to launch the event, which will go down on Sunday 1 March next year at The Tivoli.

If the news wasn't big enough, the inaugural Nine Lives line-up has dropped a stellar debut line-up which features Aldous Harding, Angie McMahon, Julia Jacklin, Allah-Las, Kevin Morby, Kikagaku Moyo and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.

A stack of local emerging acts have also been confirmed on the bill, including Buttercats, Desmond Cheese, Elder, First Beige, HANDSOME, Jim Griffin, Nice Biscuit, Pink Matter, Moreton, Sycco and DJ Heartbeats

The news comes only months after it was confirmed the debut Wildlands festival will go ahead in Brisbane this December.
