Sydney booking, touring & events agency NECTAR last hosted a DJ workshop in late September last year, which was the first in an ongoing series. Held with Berlin-based techno DJ and producer Ziúr, attendees were taught various CDJ skills that would give them the tools and the access to (hopefully!) learn more about DJing.

The series of workshops aims to support and promote developing DJs and live electronic artists in marginalised communities across Sydney, including but not limited to female, trans, GNC, queer, Indigenous & First Nations, people of colour, Immigrants, and people with disabilities.

They've today announced their second workshop in the series, this one with a focus on the art of vinyl DJing and will be happening at Network Connection Records on Sunday, April 28 from 2PM-5PM.

Magda Bytnerowicz will be leading the session. Her decade-long history in the Australian electronic music landscape is a long and insightful one. She's become a go-to addition to any club lineup due to her versatility as a DJ and immense technical skill.

There's no need for a background in DJing or vinyl records to apply for this one, so if you've been itching to get started on learning to DJ with vinyl, this is a great place to start.

There are limited spots available as they would like the workshops to be as hands on as possible, so there's a short application process which you can access here.

Applications close on Thursday, April 18 with successful applicants being contacted on Tuesday, April 23.
