It's been too long since we've heard something substantial from the Meshuggah camp, but if a new teaser is to be believed, a new album is coming. All hail the djent!

This new record will mark the Sweden band's long-awaited follow-up to 2012's effort, 'Koloss', and is currently set for a release later this year. Reporting last month, we observed the early stages of progress on the new material. "It's just something that has come naturally. The technical elements are a natural side-effect [of] the way we write, and never deliberate," guitarist Marten Hagström told us previously about the way Meshuggah's - often complex - music comes together.

These guys are due for another Australian tour soon, right?
