Hobart is about to be home to a new events series, Night At The Point.
Led by the team behind Sydney’s Night At The Barracks and the newly launched Night At The Parkland, held in Brisbane, the forthcoming series will be situated at Wrest Point, overlooking Hobart’s River Derwent.
The inaugural weekend of shows begins on Friday, 7 November, with Jon Stevens performing hits by Noiseworks and INXS. PNAU and special guests Sumner will keep the energy high on Saturday, 8 November, and Delta Goodrem and special guest Dami Im will gorgeously conclude the weekend on Sunday, 9 November.
Pre-sale tickets for all events will be available from Monday, 28 July, at 8:00 am AEST, ahead of the general sale opening on Friday, 1 August, at 9:00 am AEST. You can find tickets on the Night At The Point website.
From the chosen performances to the food and beverage offerings, sound system, lighting, and video screens, everything about Night At The Point is carefully curated for the ultimate live music experience. The event also proudly supports sustainability, employing “robust recycling systems” in a partnership with ENGIE that will offset all event emissions with 100% renewable energy.
For Delta Goodrem, her performance at Wrest Point marks her first show in Hobart in 20 years. She remarked in a statement, “I’m beyond excited to be returning to Hobart after 20 years – and what a way to come back.

“Performing at Night At The Point, surrounded by the energy of this incredible city and its people, is really special. The Tassie locals have always been so warm and welcoming, and I can’t wait to share this night of music and memories with everyone.”
Second Sunday Co-founder, Cameron Coghlan, said of the “Night at the” series latest expansion: “We’re chuffed to be expanding the ‘Night at the’ series across the strait. Hobart is set to wow the crowd with a stellar lineup of premium arts and musical performances. With its striking waterfront setting, Wrest Point offers the perfect backdrop for unforgettable nights of musical excellence and nostalgia – it was a natural fit for Tassie to be next.”
General Manager of Wrest Point, Linda Collis, added: “For decades, Wrest Point has been at the heart of Hobart’s entertainment scene, bringing some of the biggest and best Australian and international artists to Tasmania. A Night at The Point is a continuation of that story for us as we expand and showcase Tasmania as a world-class destination for live entertainment – set against one of the state’s most iconic backdrops.”
