Nessa Barrett, Sombr Announce Spilt Milk Sideshows

Two of the most popular acts performing at this year’s Spilt Milk Festival, Nessa Barrett and sombr, have announced sideshows along with their appearances at the travelling festival.

Announcing dates across the East Coast of Australia, Nessa Barrett returns to Australia after making her debut Down Under in 2023. She’s set to play at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Tuesday, 9 December, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, 10 December, and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday, 16 December.

Meanwhile, sombr is making his debut in Australia and New Zealand this December, performing at the Auckland Town Hall on Tuesday, 2 December, followed by dates at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday, 4 December, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday, 9 December, and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, 11 December.

Tickets to both shows will be available this week. The Frontier Members pre-sale for the tours opens on Wednesday, 21 May, at 12 pm local time for Nessa Barrett and 3 pm local time for sombr. The general sale starts on Thursday, 22 May, at 4 pm local time for sombr and Friday, 23 May, from 1 pm local time for Nessa Barrett. Barrett has made her name in pop over the last few years, last year releasing her second album, AFTERCARE. A bold, evolutionary step in her career, Barrett has amassed over two billion streams and more than 30 million followers on social media.

sombr is also a pop artist, but more on the alternative side, with his career blooming with emotional indie rock numbers such as Caroline, released in 2022. sombr has since released EPs and additional singles, going Gold in Australia with back to friends and undressed.
