Best & Fairest.
Celebrated Australian music publisher Native Tongue has today announced the launch of brand new boutique record label, Best & Fairest.
The label, which will aim to work with both local and international acts, has also announced its very first signing in frontman of New Zealand's The Veils, Finn Andrews, who is expected to release his debut solo album very soon.
Ex-Liberator/ [PIAS] and V2/ Cooperative Label Manager Neil Robertson has joined the team in the role of General Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the label.
Best & Fairest has also signed a deal with Believe, who will provide global digital distribution.

"We’re open to working with artists of all different levels of ambition, following various paths to reach their goals, whatever they may be," Robertson said.
"But in particular, anyone who wants to try to do things a little differently is going to find some willing co-conspirators at Best & Fairest."
Native Tongue Managing Director, Jaime Gough, said starting a label has always been "a temptation", but that they needed the right person to do it with.
"We have found that in Neil, and I have no doubt Best & Fairest will play a key role in developing sustainable careers for its artists," Gough said.
"Our setup enables us to offer artist friendly and flexible deals, which in today’s climate is paramount to a healthy working relationship."
