Fresh off releasing an impressive string of singles including BLIND and i’ll still wait, Sunshine Coast indie rock trio Nana’s Pie have been named the next act to present a showcase as part of Live Nation’s Next On series.

On Thursday, 12 November, the band takes over The Triffid in Brisbane. The show is part of their Till the Morning Tour and marks their biggest live show to date.

Nana’s Pie have quickly built momentum through touring across Australia and New Zealand, sharing the stage with Boy & Bear, The Dreggs, The Vanns, Pacific Avenue, Sons of the East, and South Summit. Now, though, it’s their turn to enjoy the spotlight.

Fans can expect a show filled with soaring harmonies, commanding guitars, crowd singalongs, and down-to-earth energy as they celebrate the release of their impending single, Till the Morning.

With their show at The Triffid, Nana’s Pie are opening an exciting new chapter as they unleash new music, fan favourites, and, of course, three mates goofing around on stage.

Tickets are now available via The Triffid’s website.

Launched late last year, Next On is an initiative that supports emerging artists by providing access to venues, production, and marketing support. Artists also retain all ticket and merch revenue from the shows.

Venues involved in the initiative are Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, Brisbane’s The Triffid and The Outpost at Fortitude Music Hall, Thirroul’s Anita’s Theatre – King’s Room, Adelaide’s Divide at Hindley Street Music Hall, and the Tuning Fork in Auckland, New Zealand.

The first batch of artists involved in the program were announced in February, with indie rock band Peach Fuzz, country rock artist Robbie Mortimer, and award-winning Māori neo-soul artist MOHI taking over venues in Melbourne, Thirroul, and Auckland, respectively.

The series continued later in the year, with rising star Jewel Owusu taking over the Palais Theatre in June and Holly Hebe presenting her songs to a New Zealand audience.

In a recent interview with The Music, Emily Taylor, Live Nation’s Promoter Operations Manager and Next On Booker, said that the company is “proud to be able to ‘give back’ and invest at the grassroots level of our industry in this way.”
