The midnight UK release of MBV’s long-awaited new ‘mbv’ breaks the internet.

More My Bloody Valentine More My Bloody Valentine

Soon-to-tour My Bloody Valentine posted a simple message on their Facebook page at midnight, UK time, stating “The album is now live.”

That album is the long-awaited follow-up to 1991's much lauded Loveless set. The new album titled 'mbv' features nine new tracks: 'she found now'; 'only tomorrow'; 'who sees you'; 'is this and yes'; 'if i am'; 'new you'; 'in another way'; 'nothing is' and 'wonder 2'.

The NME reports that the band's new website, built to host the release, crashed immediately after the announcement was made. The site, mybloodyvalentine.org, was still down at the time of writing. [UPDATE: The site went back up 2.30pm - Syd/Melb time - and the album can be ordered here.]

The album was to be available exclusively from the site either as a download, CD or vinyl.
