My Bloody Valentine storm the ARIA charts!
Dublin-formed shoegaze icons My Bloody Valentine have made their first-ever ARIA Albums chart appearance following the reissue of their three studio albums and a compilation EP.
Influential 1991 record Loveless has debuted at #6 on the ARIA Albums chart three decades after its original release via Creation Records, while the band’s 1988 debut offering, Isn’t Anything, enters at #45.
Loveless, which is frequently referred to as one of the greatest albums of all time by artists, fans and publications like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and more, also hit #2 on the Vinyl Albums chart, closely followed by Isn’t Anything at #3 and the band's third album, m b v, at #6.
Earlier this year, the band were depicted in Alan McGee biopic Creation Stories, which told the story of the man behind iconic label Creation Records (he also discovered Oasis).

Also on this week’s charts, Melbourne's The Simpsons-themed doom rock group Dr Colossus made a big impact.
The group landed at #16 on the ARIA Albums chart with their latest album, I'm A Stupid Moron With An Ugly Face & A Big Butt And My Butt Smells & I Like To Kiss My Own Butt, giving them their first-ever ARIA chart appearance.
