The network is making an already de facto partnership official
In an unsurprising but nonetheless celebration-worthy move, national cable-TV broadcaster Foxtel has has announced it has signed ascendant Aussie troubadour Morgan Evans as a presenter, host and ambassador for the Country Music Channel.
A staple feature of the channel as a performer and occasional host for quite some time now, Evans will continue to be the face of a variety of specials on the channel, including stalwart favourite CMC Rocks as well as several other events throughout the year, meaning the triple 2014 CMC Music Awards-winner will be even more of a permeating presence on the channel from here on out.
“Over the last 12 years, CMC has gone from strength to strength with an unrivalled commitment to bring our passionate viewers the very best in local and international country music as well as to curate, nurture and support new talent in Australia,” Music Channels general manager Rebecca Batties said. “We are thrilled to welcome Morgan to the CMC family and believe he will bring a great warmth and energy to the channel.”
It’s a good thing, too, as his renown only grows in the wake of his dual EPs, self-titled full-length , #1 single One Eye For An Eye, new ear-pleaser Like A Tornado and his performance in front of a 50,000-strong crowd (that’s happening for Aussies a bit, lately) at the Country Music Association Music Festival in Nashville, at which he appeared alongside globally revered artists such as Taylor Swift and Alan Jackson.
