The Aussie band will launch it at Bluesfest this October!
Following news last month they had been confirmed as a Bluesfest headliner for this October’s event, Midnight Oil have announced they’ll launch their brand new album at the festival.
Breaking the news via Twitter, the iconic Australian band noted that “this new batch of songs was recorded at the same time as The Makarrata Project, but explores different territory”.
They also revealed the album’s working title is Show Of Hands and that following its release at Bluesfest in Byron Bay on October 1, they would be looking to support it via Australasian touring plans.
The rescheduled Bluesfest line-up also features Paul Kelly, Tash Sultana. Jimmy Barnes, Kasey Chambers, John Butler and more, with the event slated to take place at Byron Events Farm (formerly Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm) from October 1 - 4 following its last-minute cancellation over the Easter long weekend due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
