The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is said to be “completely shocked and devastated” at the death of long-time girlfriend L'Wren Scott this morning.

Having landed in Australia yesterday for their run of shows – which begins in Perth on Wednesday – model and designer Scott was found dead in her apartment approximately 1am AEDT, 10am local time.

The Stones' local promoter Frontier Touring has yet to respond to theMusic.com.au as to whether there will be any changes to the tour as a result. The band are not known for cancelling shows despite tough conditions but Jagger will want to attend any funeral services for Scott.

UPDATE: It is believed that Frontier will release a statement at 9am Perth local time outside the band's hotel, 12am AEDT.
