Widows fans the long wait is over!
After 21 years Wollongong, '90s folk-pop favourites, Merry Widows are back.
The Widows are back for a handful of shows across New South Wales and Tasmania. There will be an election night show which reflects their political conscious. The band have lined up a host of local supporting acts. The Mustard, Denise Thomas, Svegies Vegies and Bruno JC Kelly are joining the Wollongong shows. Dominic Francis Grief Ensemble and Theresa Young are playing Hobart. Joining the boys for the election night show is The Guilty Three and Steve Robinson.
The Widows were staples in the Sydney scene after finishing runners-up in triple j's 1992 Campus Band Competition. They were also a favourite opening act for the likes of Bob Geldof, Richard Clapton and Hunters & Collectors.
