A few interesting announcements from the Sydney songstress

A little more synth-driven than her first record, Melodie Nelson's sophomore album To The Dollhouse is almost ready for release, and the Sydney-based songstress has dropped a new video and a few launch dates in preparation.

To The Dollhouse is reported to be more colourful than its 2011 predecessor Meditiations On The Sun, without compromising the fun that has come to characterise Lia Tsamoglou under the moniker of Melodie Nelson.

The record was recorded by Simon Grounds (Kes Bland, Laura Jean) in Melbourne and mixed in Tasmania by Chris Townsend, who has worked with Daniel Johns and Augie March.

Nelson has given access to the video to her new single Martha, the catchy tune detailing a murdered wife's haunting of her husband, a taste of the new darker themes fans can expect from the record.
