Venue is yet to address situation.

A Melbourne venue has pulled its marketing for an upcoming event called "Eat Sleep Rave Pussy Repeat" following complaints that it promoted rape culture.

As The Age reports, the Railway Hotel in Brunswick created a Facebook event for the party set to take place this Friday, but the page was taken down on Monday morning after being slammed by online users.

One person commented on the event page before it was deleted, "I have never felt safe in this space, so I'm not that surprised by this fucking abhorrent and boring title", while another wrote, "Solid job on promoting and encouraging rape culture".

The event has also been deleted from the venue's website and it is currently unclear if the party will go ahead with a new title this weekend, if at all.

The Railway Hotel was at the centre of controversy earlier this year when the venue was raided by police who discovered a large amount of drugs and cash.

Chris Lytras, believed to be the owner of the business, and manager Paul Polito were both charged with trafficking offences.

Police allege that the managers sold large amounts of ice and cocaine from their upstairs office, where an undercover operative had to line up outside of the office with other drug buyers.

Undercover officers reportedly spent more than $67,000 on buying drugs from the venue since December last year.
