Naarm/Melbourne rockers Bloody Ripper are readying themselves to close out 2024 in a big way, announcing new single Pints as the first taster of their forthcoming debut album.

Dubbed I Hardly Know Her, the new album is a culmination of the many years that Bloody Ripper have spent on the Melbourne music scene as one of the dominant forces in local rock and roll.

Pints is a testament to their status as eastern suburbs ragers, with their playful guitar melodies and raw, emotional vocals appearing full force throughout. Inspured by conversations with mates in pubs that can only take place over a few of the titular pints, it's a track that's loud, honest, and custom-built for the live stage.

The track also comes accompanied by a music video filmed, edited, and directed by Darcy Broom. The clip features guitarist Jaksun Taylor moonlighting as the character Shags as he looks for love during a local night of speed dating.

Featuring the rest of the band adopting zany personas for the video, and interspersed with clips of the band performing for the speed daters, it's a fun bit of throwback rock that isn't afraid to take itself too seriously.

Pints will appear on Bloody Ripper’s I Hardly Know Her album when it arrives on December 13th. A long time coming, the record follows on from the group’s debut EP, Earl Spaceman, which was issued in 2022.

It’s the culmination of many years at the forefront of the Melbourne rock scene, playing dive bars and late night sets all over. Having formed as Earl Spaceman in 2013, the group adopted the moniker Machine Gun Sunrise before switching to Bloody Ripper in 2019.

Along the way, they’ve curated a voracious and dedicated fanbase eager for the energetic rock and roll that only Bloody Ripper have been able to deliver across their lifetime.
