“A massive thanks to everyone who’s supported our little shop over this last decade."

Melbourne record store Poison City has announced that it will be relocating from its current Fitzroy location after more than 12 years.

The beloved shop will be moving to “a great new little space right on the Thornbury/Preston intersect” with the exact address and opening date/times expected soon.

“The end of our lease in Fitzroy has coincided with these bizarre and tricky C-19 times and we felt the timing was right for a move and a new phase,” reads a statement on Poison City’s Instagram.

“Want to say a massive thanks to everyone who’s supported our little shop over this last decade and for me personally it’s been a space where lots of living, learning has taken place and somewhere I’ve met so many wonderful people from all walks of life and parts of the world.

“After some big decisions and a difficult start to the year for obvious reasons, it’s exciting to now be working towards the next evolution of PCR.

Over the years, the Fitzroy store has hosted performances from the likes of Clowns, Moody Beaches, Camp Cope, Bench Press and more.
