Melbourne Band's Equipment Stolen In Car Robbery

Spread the word!

More DIET. DIET.

Melbourne band DIET. are appealing for public assistance after a band member's car was stolen over the weekend which was carrying various music equipment belonging to them.

Taking to Facebook last night, the indie outfit announced that guitarist Ted Mitchell's 2005 Mazda Bravo ute was stolen and named every piece of equipment in the car at the time which included a '90s Japanese Fender Mustang and Japanese Lefty Fender jazz bass guitars, Zildjian A Custom drum cymbals and more.

Some of the equipment also belonged to fellow musicians Flamingo Jones and Joe Downey.

"As musicians, the cost of equipment far out way's the money we make from music," the group said in a statement online.

"It is scumbags that steal cars that are the skidmarks on our society. Please share this post, keep an eye out for the car or the gear and please call the police if you see anything."
