Lost Picnic will offer up plenty of music and great food

A new boutique event has been announced for Sydney today, with the Lost Picnic set to bring a handful of local musos and great food to punters in Centennial Park this March.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Megan Washington, acclaimed indie rockers The Rubens, Brisbane songstress Emma Louise, emerging folk muso Dustin Tebbutt and trio Sons Of The East have all been confirmed to play at the mini festival, which will be held on Sunday 23 March in the grounds of the famous Sydney park.

The event is trying something a little different to your typical festival food selection, offering punters gourmet picnic hampers to munch on throughout the day. A number of the country's top chefs have been involved in the putting together of the day's menu too.

Director of the event, Simon Beckingham says Lost Picnic is part of the "next generation in music events" that Sydney is looking for.
