Eskimo Joe's Connection To Meg Mac's US Chart Hit

Joel Quartermain is a big fan of the singer.

More Meg Mac Meg Mac

Melbourne singer Meg Mac's international success has continued in the past week, as the artist again rose up the US charts for a third week with her song Roll Up Your Sleeves in the Adult Alternative Songs List.

Jumping up into the #23 spot for the week, Aussie producer and musician Joel Quartermain knew Mac's talent would always shine through.

Quartermain, of acclaimed Aussie group Eskimo Joe, produced, co-wrote and played on Mac's new single and he says he is very excited to see the track connect with people overseas.

"We made the EP a while back and although it was her first studio experience, her amazing talent was plain to see," Quartermain said.

After meeting through a mutual friend, Quartermain and Mac worked on one of her single's, Known Better, which eventually lead to them working together on her March released EP.

"I pretty much played the role of being the band/producer/co-writer which is obviously a pretty natural situation for me after producing a bunch of the Eskies records over the years," he explained.

"With Meg's EP, it was a process of weaving some new sounds into something that at heart was a natural soul record."

Meanwhile, Mac is currently gearing up for her appearance at this year's Splendour In The Grass before heading out on the road in September for a national tour.
