Vanessa AmorosiVanessa Amorosi is celebrating 25 years of her powerhouse pop career with a massive tour. If that wasn’t special enough, she brought out a special guest on Saturday (11 April) for a sold-out show in Sydney.
Another beloved Aussie singer-songwriter, Meg Mac, joined the Absolutely Everybody singer on stage at Sydney’s Factory Theatre. Together, the pair shared verses and harmonies, presenting a unique rendition of Amorosi’s hit single, Shine.
“What a moment! @megmac your voice is so beautiful!! Thank you for jumping up and singing last night,” Amorosi wrote on Instagram, sharing a clip of the performance, which you can watch below.
Commenting on the video, Mac wrote that the performance was “a dream come true.”
Amorosi’s Sydney show was the second on her Celebrating 25 Years tour, which began with shows in Newcastle and Sydney and continues with dates in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne (two shows), Torquay, Caloundra, and Brisbane, wrapping up the tour on Friday, 1 May.

Tickets to her Melbourne, Torquay and Brisbane shows are sold out, with limited tickets remaining for her Adelaide, Perth, and Caloundra dates. You can find tickets on the Live Nation Australia website.
Promising an “arena-sized sound” with her vocals and her excellent band for these intimate shows, Amorosi said of the tour, “As I celebrate 25 years, this tour is a tribute to who I was, who I am, and everything in between.”
She added, “It’s also a celebration of how far these songs have come. Performing still brings me the same energy and connection it did from the very beginning. I’ve taken time to reflect, refine, and shape the strongest version of these songs. I’m excited to share this tour, celebrate it and make new memories.”
In addition to her 25th anniversary tour dates, Amorosi is set to perform on Australian Idol tonight.
