MAY-A's version gives the track's already vulnerable lyrics a new, more intimate meaning.
Artist on the rise MAY-A has today shared her own version of her collaboration with Flume, releasing Say Nothing (MAY-A's Version).
The duo collaborated on the chart-topping track earlier this year, which landed on Flume's critically acclaimed and universally adored third studio album, Palaces.
MAY-A went on to perform alongside Flume at a huge headline slot at Coachella which was hailed as one of the most captivating guest performances at the festival. She'll also join him on a string of US tour dates and his Australian tour in November.
MAY-A's version of the track is a hauntingly sparse rendition of the commercial pop-friendly record, featuring humming vocal melodies and lo-fi production driven by an acoustic guitar. These elements give a new meaning to the already deeply vulnerable lyrics.
MAY-A's Version follows a sold-out debut headline tour for the artist last month.
Flume's tour kicks off at Perth's Red Hill Auditorium on the 11th of November, followed by Brisbane's Riverstage on the 16th, Sydney's The Dome on the 18th, Melbourne's John Cain Arena on the 24th, The Adelaide Entertainment Centre on the 30th, before closing the tour at the Regatta Grounds in Hobart on the 2nd of December.
