The album drops next month
Metal-heads starving for news about the new release from iconic heavy rockers Mastodon have finally been thrown a bone: the band's just revealed their highly anticipated sixth album, Once More 'Round The Sun, will be hitting shelves and – more likely – iPod's around the nation on Friday 20 June.
The upcoming full-length, recorded in Nashville, sees the band join forces with legendary producer Nick Raskulinecz, who's worked with an impressive array of heavy rock royalty, including Rush, Deftones, Foo Fighters and Alice In Chains.
The 11-track album sees the four-piece out of Atlanta, Georgia, follow up from their acclaimed 2011 sludge-rock album, The Hunter, loved for its progressive blend of clean vocals and grating screams.
