The Mark Of Cain Set Album Release Date

And they will definitely tour next year

More The Mark Of Cain The Mark Of Cain Profile

Punk rock stalwarts The Mark Of Cain have finally set a release date for their comeback album Songs Of The Third And Fifth after releasing their first new material in ten years last year.

The album will be released Friday 2 November through Feel Presents/Fuse and contain last year's single Barkhammer as well as new single Heart of Stone, which will be released Saturday 15 September.

Written by drummer John Stainer and vocalist/guitarist John Scott, Scott says the new material “harks back to our earlier days when we had more melody in our songs, it straddles in effect the earlier sound we had on Battlesick as well as the more riff focused hard grooves of This Is This.”

The record was produced by Scott and Fell Presents' Tim Pittman, and mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Cog).

The band have also indicated that they'll be touring nationally, as they have hinted at previously.
