Lorde Adds Extra Shows To 2026 Australian Tour

After the AMEX and Lorde mailing list pre-sales opened on Tuesday (15 July), which were met with extraordinary demand, Frontier Touring have added second and final shows in Melbourne and Sydney for Lorde’s upcoming Australian tour.

The new shows will take place on Thursday, 19 February, at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney and Sunday, 22 February, at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne. Ticket allocation for American Express card members and Lorde mailing list members for the first Melbourne and Sydney shows is nearly sold out.

Today, American Express Card Members can access pre-sale tickets for the new shows from 2 pm local time via the AMEX website, while the pre-sale for Frontier Members also opens at 2 pm local time today. The general sale begins on Friday, 18 July, at 2 pm local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring website.

With the new shows added, Lorde will now perform eight shows on her Ultrasound Tour of Australia and New Zealand. We’ll update this article if any more dates are added to the tour.

The alt-pop superstar Lorde is touring in support of her latest album, Virgin, released in late June. Her fourth album and the follow-up to 2021’s Solar Power, Virgin debuted at #1 on the Australian and New Zealand album charts and features the hit singles What Was That, Man Of The Year, and Hammer.

“A big part of this album for me, and part of why I call it Virgin, is because I really had this sort of feeling of rebirth at some point in 2023,” Lorde explained in a recent cover story interview with The Music.

She added, “I changed a lot about my life, and I took away a lot of the structures that I had relied upon to be like, ‘This is my life and I know what I'm doing.’ My vibe for a long time had been: I got this. I think a lot about this album is choosing to not know where it’s going to go, and let it happen to you.”

Lorde last toured Australia in March 2023 in support of Solar Power. That tour marked her first shows Down Under in six years.
