British pop star Lola Young has announced that she’s “going away for a while” after recently collapsing on stage and cancelling shows for her mental health.

Over the weekend, the Messy singer collapsed on stage at the All Things Go festival in New York and cancelled her second planned performance at the festival.

Young was performing her song Conceited when she was seen falling backwards and collapsing on stage, according to video footage recorded by fans. The singer’s team rushed on stage to help her.

Following the incident, Young addressed her fans on her Instagram Stories.

“For anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing okay now,” Young wrote. “Thank you for all of your support.”

Earlier in her set, Young opened about dealing with a “tricky couple of days,” and added: “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool… and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

Now, Young has revealed that she has to “cancel everything for the foreseeable future” as she takes some time to look after herself and “come back stronger.”

At the time of publication, Young has tour dates booked from October 2025 to June 2026, featuring headline shows in the UK, the US, and Europe, as well as appearances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Festival Estereo Picnic, and Corona Capital.

“I'm going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future,” Young wrote in a new post shared on Instagram.

She continued, “Thank you for all the love and support. I'm so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know. Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund.

“I really hope you'll give me a second chance once I've had some time to work on myself and come back stronger.

“Love you all, Lola x.”

Before All Things Go, Young cancelled a planned performance for 26 September.

The event was We Can Survive, a concert to support mental health and suicide prevention. In an Instagram Story, Young’s manager, Nick Shymansky, remarked that, “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” per Billboard.
