Jimmy BarnesThe Logie Awards has announced a star-studded list of Aussie acts who will perform during this weekend’s event.
Jimmy Barnes, Jessica Mauboy and Tim Minchin will all venture to the Gold Coast to play this Sunday, June 19, during the ceremony, joining previously confirmed international headliner Calum Scott.
Barnes noted: “We’re really looking forward to staging these Soul Deep Anniversary gigs - I love playing all those classic songs.
“Unfortunately, it’s such a big show that we can’t take it right around the country so the Logies will be a great way to let everyone across Australia get a small taste of these special shows.”
Mauboy will appear fresh off the back of her sold-out Boss Lady Tour, which the singer described as a show “two years in the making”.
“I couldn’t be more excited that Logies are back, and I’m thrilled to announce I will be performing my newest single Automatic on the Logies stage,” Mauboy said.
And you’d struggle to find someone who bridges the gap between music and the screen better than Tim Minchin, with the beloved performer appearing at the awards following production wrapping on Upright season two, which will air on Foxtel later this year.
The TV WEEK Logie Awards red carpet show kicks off at 7pm from The Star Gold Coast Entertainment Precinct at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
