Local Supports Join Sam Fender's 2025 Australian Tour

Hot off winning this year’s Mercury Prize award with his third album, People Watching, Sam Fender is gearing up for his highly anticipated return to Australia.

And he’s not the only one. While Holly Humberstone was announced as the tour’s special guest in May, today, a bunch of Australia’s most exciting acts have been added to the tour.

“Rollicking coastal punk rock” outfit Beddy Rays will perform at Fender’s Melbourne shows (14 and 15 November), as well as his date in Sydney. Electronic-focused singer-songwriter Sycco will perform at the second Melbourne date, as well as Brisbane. Alt-rockers Day We Ran will appear in Melbourne and Sydney, while in Adelaide and Perth, folk artist Esha Tewari will warm up proceedings.

In addition to the local special guests being announced, final production holds tickets for all dates on Fender’s tour have been released. You can find tickets via the Secret Sounds website.

On Friday, 5 December, Fender will release the deluxe edition of People Watching. This month, he offered a taster of the deluxe release, unveiling collaborations with Elton John (Talk To You) and Olivia Dean (Rein Me In).

Discussing the shock collab with Elton John, Fender explained, “It’s a song about the end of a long relationship - about the regret, the mistakes, and the lessons that come with it. I thought, what I need is a really good pianist… and who better than Elton John?”

Elton John added, “Sam called to say he’d written a song with a piano riff he thought would sound great with me playing it. I couldn’t resist. It’s incredible to see him grow into a truly world-class artist.”
