Local Country Stars Named As CMC Awards Finalists

The finalists of this year’s CMC Music Awards have been revealed after six weeks of fan voting.

The annual fan-voted awards for Foxtel’s Country Music Channel are considered one of the best gauges of public opinion in the country’s burgeoning country music scene. Regulars like Adam Brand, Adam Harvey and The McClymonts feature heavily – including in the prized Aus Artist Of The Year category – while names like the Adam Eckersley Band, Jared Porter and Victoria Avenue fit into the new artist category.

The awards will be hosted by Morgan Evans – who’s up for two awards himself – and take place Thursday March 12 at Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane. On Friday 13 the CMC Rocks QLD festival kicks off.
