Andy Strachan's The Pants Collective to drop self-titled debut EP this month

The Living End's Andy Strachan has announced details regarding his solo side project, The Pants Collective.

Having filled the sizeable boots of being the drummer for beloved rock trio The Living End since 2002, and with roots as a percussionist that date back 25 years, Strachan is spreading his compositional and instrumental wings at long last with the announcement of his solo project The Pants Collective and debut single, Secrets, with a self-titled EP to follow on May 30.

The project has been bubbling away in Strachan's mind for several years, with Secrets starting life nine years ago as a thrown-together GarageBand recording (for which Strachan manned all instruments, as he does on the EP) that he happened to play to good mate and Red Door Sounds manager/co-owner Paul 'Woody' Annison one evening.

Annison suggested a more polished recording, setting Strachan down the path towards releasing his seven-track EP at the end of this month.
