21 years after Australian indie rockers Little Birdy released their debut album, BigBigLove, they’re hitting the road to celebrate the special anniversary.

For their 21st anniversary tour, the band will tour across the country from June to August. Singer Katy Steele will reunite with original members Simon Leach and Scott O’Donoghue. The tour will include performances of BigBigLove in its entirety and a collection of additional hits from throughout their career.

The tour begins at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday, 20 June. From there, the band will head to the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne, Chelsea Heights, Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, and Perth and wrap up the run in Dunsborough.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, 20 March, at 9 am local time before the general sale begins on Friday, 21 March, at 9 am local time. You can find tickets on Little Birdy’s website.

In addition to celebrating BigBigLove’s seminal anniversary with a tour, Little Birdy will release the album on vinyl for the first time. The album will be released as a limited edition 12” pressing, with an extra 7” single and two exclusive bonus tracks, including an unreleased version of Beautiful To Me.

Upon its release in 2004, the album debuted at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart, went Platinum, and spawned a sold-out national tour. Meanwhile, Beautiful To Me landed at #8 on the triple j Hottest 100.

Katy Steele said of the album’s anniversary and the upcoming tour, “These songs still feel just as real as they did when we first wrote them. Revisiting them as a band has been such a unique and healing experience. I can’t wait to see our old fans down the front, singing along again—just like we did all those years ago."

Simon Leach added, “I never thought this thing would have a Chapter 2. Playing on stage again, seeing Little Birdy devotees and a whole new generation singing along—it’s surreal, and we’re so grateful to be doing this again.”
