Duck Sauce Drop 'Duck Droppings' EP

When you think of duck droppings, the vision in your head is not going to be a pretty sight. However, in terms of DUCK SAUCE's new EP going by that exact title, it's a pile of funk that you're going to want to be showered with as the four-track offering by the super-duo [comprised of A-Trak and Armand Van Helden] is undoubtedly built with delicious club anthems.

Kicking off with 'Party In Me', we're thrown straight into the disco den of an underground lover's paradise. Smooth bass and coastal beats work both so gently and powerful at the same time, and are tenderly kissed by the adventurous vocals. This won't last forever though, as you'll soon witness this setting completely invert itself as a gritty beat opens the EP's second track - 'Louie The First'. Sampling Hot Chocolate's 'Brother Louie' to take the base of the track, Duck Sauce have cranked up the speed and poured in their own disco infusion to ensure this appropriation is entirely of their own craftsmanship.

'Calamari' slips in with a snakey beat that tangles itself up into a knot before taking a completely different turn; as the track soon rolls out a catchy melody that sounds as though it was once a traditional Mexican piece - now just faster and tweaked to suit the electronic vibe of the pulsing tune. This bleeds out until the track once again doubles over into its own mess.. Until it restarts.

To conclude Duck Droppings is Duck Sauce's 'Mondo' that is complete with unstable turns, pounding beats, heavy layers and a combination of clarity and mumbled delivery. Somehow when gelled altogether, this great animal of energy has amassed to be an absolute legend of a track, sure to be owning dancefloors and the like around the globe.
