Lindi OrtegaCanadian chanteuse Lindi Ortega is one of the finest burgeoning alt-country artists around, her first couple of albums – Little Red Boots and Cigarettes & Truckstops proved that early in the piece, but she has grown even further with the release of album number three, Tin Star.
It's a country album, sure, but Ortega performs with the kind of passion that means the songs kinda transcend that pigeonholing if you're somewhat averse to that genre of music. These are great songs and Ortega performs them beautifully.
Ortega had already been confirmed to appear at the Boogie, National Folk and Gum Ball Festivals and now it has been announced that she will play two special, intimate shows in Sydney and Melbourne while she is around.
