Indie pop/rock duo Lime Cordiale are ready to embark on a tour of a lifetime, announcing yesterday the Lime Cordiale with the Symphony Orchestra tour, an epic live concert experience with a curation of Australia’s most prolific symphony orchestras.

Collaborating with skilled conductor Vanessa Scammell (who has worked with Birds of Tokyo and The Cat Empire) and orchestra arranger Alex Turley (who has arranged for Genesis Owusu and Dan Sultan), the string of shows are expected to dive into the entire catalogue of Lime Cordiale in a way that has never been played or heard before. Joining Lime Cordiale’s Oliver and Louis Leimbach onstage will be an over 80-piece orchestra, ready to take hits like Robbery, Temper Temper and Dirt Cheap to new heights.

“With a cello-playing mum, we grew up playing classical clarinet and trumpet,” said the duo. “The band came together while Oli was studying at the Conservatorium, and playing in concert bands and orchestras was a big part of Lime Cordiale’s beginnings,”

“This is a major bucket-list tick for us. It’s scary and intimidating, but our inner band nerds are all for it! We can’t wait to dive into some epic orchestral arrangements of our songs.”

The band already has a chock-a-block touring schedule planned for 2025. As of now, they are currently on the cusp of wrapping up their own American tour across February and March, with the guys gearing up to join Tash Sultana on their Return To The Roots USA tour kicking off in June, and a regional Australia tour scheduled for April. In pure Lime Cordiale fashion, the band is ready to go bigger and better, utilising their classically-trained beginnings to transform the indie-pop tracks that fans know and love them for.

Just last year, the band released their third studio album Enough Of The Sweet Talk, receiving ARIA’s first ever Australia #1 Award. Packaged with their classic, enchanting indie-pop soundscapes, the album showcases Lime Cordiale in their flow state, depicting a deep tie to their roots while also exploring musical and personal growth.

The Lime Cordiale with the Symphony Orchestra tour will kick off on the 27th August with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in Wrest Point, Tasmania, before playing two shows with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall, a single show with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra at Fortitude Music Hall, three hometown shows with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House and closing out the tour in November with two shows with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
