Oasis ProfileLiam Gallagher, lead vocalist of Oasis, has claimed that it was his idea for Ball Park Music to open for the band in Australia.
On Thursday, 17 April, Gallagher was answering fans’ questions on X (formerly known as Twitter) when he was asked whose idea it was to have Ball Park Music support the iconic British band on their forthcoming Australian tour.
“Mine,” Gallagher wrote back, before answering “Yeah” when he was asked if he likes Ball Park Music.
Meanwhile, the Australian indie rock band discussed this week’s shock announcement on The Project. “It was unbelievable,” singer Sam Cromack said after he saw Gallagher’s posts. “I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. They actually heard a song! They made a choice!”
Guitarist Dean Hanson added that he found Liam’s posts after searching for the band’s name on X and expressed delight at the Oasis legend “backing us up” after seeing comments asking who Ball Park Music are.

After 31 sold-out shows in the UK, Canada, the USA, Mexico, South Korea, and Japan, Oasis will head to Australia for five shows this October and November.
The Live ‘25 tour marks Oasis’s first Australian tour in 19 years.
Due to extraordinary demand, the legendary British rock band will play three unmissable nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, followed by two incredible shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium. The tour begins on Friday, 31 October, at Marvel Stadium and ends on Saturday, 8 November, at Accor Stadium.
Earlier this week, Ball Park Music said of the epic news, “Can hardly believe I’m typing this but it’s true, we’ll be supporting the Mancunian legends, the one and only, Oasis on their historic reunion tour when they visit Australia this year. To say we’re pumped is a massive fucking understatement. We. Can. Not. Wait. Let’s fucking get it!”
