"Fuck that idiot," says Stringer

English actor Idris Elba, who rose to fame in the role of Stringer Bell on The Wire, believes that “no one gives a fuck” about former Oasis vocalist Liam Gallagher anymore after they had a run-in at a music awards earlier this year.
Elba and Gallagher, who formed Beady Eye after his seminal Brit-pop band Oasis dissolved, had a misunderstanding over each others hair and headwear at the UK NME Awards and the incident continues to sour their relationship.
In an interview with GQ Elba says he gave Gallagher an “affectionate rub on the head” but he “Didn't like that.”
“Don't touch his hair, apparently,” he said. “Fuck off. Next time walk with a fucking hairdresser, then.”

The topic arose because Elba had played Oasis classic Wonderwall during an Ibiza DJ set.Asked whether he was taking a shot at Gallagher he said, “No! Fuck that idiot. No.”
He added, “Well, 'I'm a popular rock singer, so I'm going to be mean and fucking horrible to people just because they messed up my look.' Fuck off.
“I played his song because his song's a classic. I couldn't – I don't even know what his songs are about now or what band he's in now. No one gives a fuck, yeah? He was popular when he was in Oasis.”
Rumours of an Oasis reunion tour for the 20th anniversary of their album Definitely Maybe have been swirling recently, with Liam's camp seemingly open to the suggestion. His estranged brother and former bandmate Noel Gallagher has repeatedly denined them, however.
