Lethal Dose Records in dispute with Australian Post

Local DIY label Lethal Dose Records have created a sale for the bulk of online orders after Australian Post slugged the company with an underpaid mail bill.

Lethal Dose Records informed of the situation when writing via Facebook.

As a result of the bill, the operation of the business is directly influenced.

Lethal Dose Records write:

As a label, we have to deal with Australia Post on a daily basis. Unfortunately, Aus Post is one of the most rigid and unforgiving organisations to deal with when running a DIY label. We try to keep our costs as low as possible by packing, addressing, stamping and posting everything ourselves (this keeps YOUR cost low too). It's frustrating as hell going into your local PO and getting slugged $7.20 to send a fucking $5.00 cassette tape, so we have circumvented this problem in the past by taking care of it ourselves.

However, today we've received a passive aggressive parcel from Australia Post including a bill stinging us for $194.50 for underpaid mail, and they are holding our operations at random until we pay the bill by the end of this week. We aspire to continue our label as a cost effective business for both ourselves AND the people who support us, this means keep expenses to a minimum for everyone involved. Due to this bill, we now have a sale on almost all online orders including some manhunt - human detritus 7" test presses (they will go up tonight).

You can find our webstore at lethaldose.bigcartel.com. We are a small, two person operation with full time lives, we appreciate all our customers and their support and if you are able to help us wipe this debt and the smirks from Australia Post's faces, we will be eternally grateful.
