A star-studded local line-up has been unveiled for the fifth instalment for acclaimed Queensland's Birdsville Big Red Bash, with Lee Kernaghan, Jessica Mauboy, James Reyne and Mark Seymour named as headline acts for the 2017 run.
An eclectic line-up will transcend on the picturesque Birdsville venue situated by the iconic Big Red Dune from July 4 – 6, with Mauboy confirmed to ring out the opening night while powerhouse duo Reyne and Seymour – of Australian Crawl and Hunters & Collectors fame – will headline night two.
The final day of festivities will see a fitting, all-day celebration to Aussie legend Kernaghan as the country maestro’s debut record, The Outback Club, turns 25. The July 6 schedule will consist of a country and rock gala labelled Ultimate Anniversary Show – Lee Kernaghan & Legends of Country.
"Celebrating my 25th anniversary at the Big Red Bash, an iconic outback music festival, with a bunch of my mates from throughout my career, is going to be an event to remember,” Kernaghan said.

The festival has also confirmed the Crackup Sisters as MCs for 2017, who will deliver stunts, acrobatics and comedy among other things.
This year’s event – which as forced to relocate at the eleventh hour – sold out with more than 7,000 punters in attendance.
The full line-up will drop next month, which is when tickets will go live.
