Chappell RoanLaneway Festival returns to Australia and New Zealand in February, and ahead of the dates, festival organisers have revealed that they’ve partnered with headliner Chappell Roan to support two Australian LGBTQ+ organisations.
Together, Laneway and Roan will support Transcend Australia, an organisation that advocates for and supports transgender, gender diverse and non-binary people and their families, and Transgender Victoria, which is recognised as the “leading voice” for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary people across the state.
“$1 from every ticket purchased to #Laneway2026 goes to our Solar Slice fund, supporting sustainability and charitable projects with help from our friends @feat.artists,” the Laneway team said this week (17 December).
They added, “For 2026, we’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Chappell Roan and the Midwest Princess Project to support two local LGBTQ+ organisations in Australia, Transcend Australia and Transgender Victoria. Swipe through to learn more about the important work they both do.”
The Midwest Princess Project is Chappell Roan’s non-profit organisation, which focuses on assisting transgender youth and LGBTQ+ communities “through meaningful action and compassionate care.”
Reacting to the news that Laneway Festival and one of the world’s biggest pop stars would be supporting their organisation, Transcend Australia wrote on social media: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Chappell Roan is donating Laneway Festival proceeds to Transcend Australia.
“This support will fund vital peer support, resources and community connection for trans and gender-diverse young people and their families. Icons like Chappell show us what authentic allyship looks like—bold, joyful and unapologetic.
“That’s community in action, and we couldn’t be prouder.”
Chappell Roan headlines the 2026 Laneway Festival, where she’ll appear alongside Alex G, PinkPantheress, Geese, Wolf Alice, Yung Lean & Bladee, Wet Leg, Role Model, and many more. Festival organisers have teased that Roan will bring her “90-minute gothic fairytale spectacle” to the Laneway stages.
Plus, there’s stacks of local talent on the line-up, with Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, The Belair Lip Bombs, Armlock, Blusher, Djanaba, and others on the bill, as well as the recently announced triple j Unearthed winners added on the Australian dates.
Tickets to the Melbourne and Sydney editions are sold out, while tickets remain available in all other cities. You can secure yours here.
